You can never stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the favor of God.

God intends that his goodness will be so much such that it would be hard to keep up. You can't keep up with God's goodness. If you earn everything in your life through your good deeds and kind gestures what space is left then for the favor of God?

If you're quick to connect every good you experience to something you've done, then check it. You might be living life oblivious to the grace and mercy of God.

A kind gesture opens up the heart; a man's giving makes room for him, but in all, it is God who first gives seeds to the sower.

While you dot your i(s) and cross your t(s), remember to leave room for the favor of God.

Your life doesn't have to be like that of a hamster on a wheel. Get comfortable receiving favors even from the strangest of people and places.

In all honesty, I admit I am learning to get comfortable with the favor of God. Accepting that I can't keep up with his goodness, every effort in this regard would be futile.
