GET USED TO IT!

The yellow flowers of the CANNA INDICA are my favorite species of the plant. They look so fragile but yet exhibit great strength. I look at them from the window of my room very often, and I’m met with surprise each time I do. One minute it’s withered and the next minute it’s brimming with life as though it blooms year-round.
And I’m like "Don’t you ever die?" I’m certain if it could answer me it would say "No, I don’t. GET USED TO IT!"

I can absolutely relate to the supposed response of this plant. The reason is that as an individual, I'm surprised at my resilience. I am nearly frightened at the speed at which I bounce back from seeming setbacks regardless of the magnitude. It almost feels like I don't care.

At some point, I've been tempted to accuse myself of nonchalance.
But like the CANNA INDICA, I've learned that the fact that I fall doesn't imply that my back has been glued to the ground. I'm not built to stay down for long.

This is not synonymous with denial. It is also not sequel to the 'I don't care attitude.' It is life telling you that you are the one that determines the rate of your healing; and not how adverse the condition appears. You can get through anything.
This is me trying to tell you "GET USED TO IT!" You're not wired to stay down for long.
